The service menu
Event monogramming services, from thread to laser.
Four ways to put initials on a gift, all staffed and equipped by Merch Troop. Mix formats at one station or split them across a room — the menu below is where every proposal starts.
The thread station — live embroidery
Our flagship format. A commercial embroidery head stitches monograms on site: a classic three-letter arrangement with the surname initial enlarged at center, a single statement initial, or a first name in script. Each piece takes four to eight minutes of stitch time depending on letter height and density, which is why the station runs on a claim-ticket rhythm — guests order, wander back to the party, and return to something worth keeping.
Before the event we build your letter menu (three to five fonts is the sweet spot — one script, one block, one decorative) and a thread palette of six to ten colors pulled from your linens, florals, or brand book. Hoopable items we recommend: waffle robes, canvas totes, zip pouches, oxford shirts, beanies, and structured caps run on a cap frame.

The letter bar — chenille & embroidered patches
When the guest list is large and the vibe is playful, pre-made letters win. Guests pick chenille varsity letters or embroidered script initials from a display tray, place them on a cap or tote, and our operator heat-seals the arrangement in under a minute. It is the highest-throughput monogram format we run — 40 to 60 finished pieces an hour from one press — and the letter tray itself becomes a photo moment.
Cap walls are usually Richardson 112 trucker or Flexfit silhouettes in two or three colorways; totes are natural canvas. Letters can be sourced in your event colors with enough lead time.
Etched & pressed initials
For gift suites and favor tables we bring a laser engraver for initials on stainless tumblers, barware, keychains, and leather luggage tags — permanent, elegant, and completely mess-free indoors. Alongside it, a heat press applies crisp serif initial lockups to tees (Bella+Canvas 3001 is our house blank) and totes when you want something graphic rather than stitched.
Sourcing, styling & staffing
Most clients have us supply the goods: we source blanks at wholesale, steam and stage them, and build the display so the station looks like a boutique, not a booth. Every package includes uniformed operators (all black for galas), menu-card and signage design, table dressing, load-in and strike, and a certificate of insurance for your venue. Need scale? We add embroidery heads and presses until the math covers your guest count.
Not sure which format fits your crowd? Start with the guest count and the item you want them to keep — we will map the machines to the math. Send the details or call (562) 614-4800.
